Profile

Having studied both History and Philosophy at La Universidad de los Andes in Bogotá, Colombia, Alejandro successfully pursued an M.A. in Philosophy at The New School for Social Research with a thesis on Spinoza's conception of organism. He has worked on such varied topics as Deleuze and Guattari’s stance on revolution and the satirical mannerisms of fin-de-siècle Colombian letrados. Now a PhD candidate in the Latin American and Iberian Cultures program, his current interests revolve around Nineteenth-Century Latin American intellectual history, with a special emphasis on right-wing thought.
