Óscar Iván Useche

I graduated from the Department of Latin American and Iberian Cultures in May, 2014, with a dissertation entitled "Beyond the Material: Energy, Work and Movement in the Cultural Imagination of Restoration Spain." Currently, I serve as Assistant Professor at Ursinus College. My teaching and research interests include the influence of science, technology and industry on Spanish cultural production, and the relations between dynamics of social, political and economic transformation and the construction of national identity in Spain.
