Academic Statement

I strongly believe that the classroom should be a place where students actively construct meaning. My teaching philosophy is rooted on creating a collective, cooperative, and ludic environment that promotes debate and constructive criticism. In both language and content courses, I seek to emphasize the discursive and consequential aspects of language, leaning toward the communicative and task-based approaches. I am a fan of experiential and operative learning, which I find most useful in conducting the ambiguity of knowledge among students, and between students and teacher, into something productive and meaningful.
