Wadda Rios-Font

Wadda C. Rios-Font (BA The Johns Hopkins University, 1985; PhD Harvard University, 1991) is Professor of the Barnard College Department of Spanish and Latin American Cultures, where she served as Chair between 2007 and 2014. Previously, she was Associate Professor of Hispanic Studies at Brown University and Assistant Professor of Spanish at the University of Rochester. She has also held visiting appointments at the University of California at Berkeley, UCLA, and Rutgers University. Professor Rios-Font specializes in Spanish literature and culture from 1800 to the present, as well as on issues of Spanish nationalism[s] during the last century of the empire--specifically involving Spain, Puerto Rico, and Catalonia.
