Primarily, I was drawn to academia from the desire to write, but I also divided my early years into books. I followed a steady career of the unstable when I joined a literary studies B.A. program at the Universidad Nacional de Colombia, Bogotá, and later a master's in Hispanic Studies at University of Illinois at Chicago. Perhaps now I am enlightened in the pursuit of someone else's words?
Well at least when it comes to the material level of ideas and their circulation, I know that an itinerary is always verifiable at some level. My current path toward a PhD in Columbia takes on that reflection, transitioning into the terrain of art and history. Professionally, I've worked as a school teacher and a freelance proofreader for different publishing endeavors, mostly university presses.
