About The Portuguese Program at Columbia

In our Portuguese classes, we strive to create a comfortable environment in which Portuguese is spoken all the time in all of our courses. Also, the dynamics of our classes involve students working in groups of two or three in all of their activities. This gives the students the opportunity to quickly develop and improve their speaking and listening skills. Our students build a sense of community through their Portuguese language learning
