Nicole P. Basile holds a BA and MA in Comparative Literature from New York University. Before coming to Columbia, she studied literature and second language pedagogy in Stony Brook University’s department of Hispanic Languages and Literature. She has also worked as an editor in educational publishing. She is interested in 16th and 17th century culinary recipes, medical treatises, and natural histories.
