Profile

Sara García is a Ph.D. student in the Department of Latin American and Iberian Cultures at Columbia University. Her research focuses on the exhibition apparatus of living collections, zoos and botanical gardens at the end of 19th century and early 20th century. She is interested in philosophical and curatorial approaches to topics such as visibility, delocalization, and illusion.

She holds an B.A. in Philosophy from the University of Seville, M.A. in Art Market from Antonio de Nebrija University, Madrid and M.A. in Art History with a concentration in Curatorial Studies from UNAM, Mexico.
