Please join us for a lecture by Professor Andrew Beresford (Durham University) in the Sobejano Library at Casa Hispánica on April 16. This event is kindly co-sponsored by the Program in Medieval and Renaissance Studies and the Institute for Religion, Culture, and Public Life.

Professor Andrew Beresford is the author of Sacred Skin: The Legend of St. Bartholomew in Spanish Art and Literature, Jonathan Parker: Familiarity and Mystery, The Severed Breast: The Legends of Saints Agatha and Lucy in Medieval Castilian Literature, among many others. His research  combines interests in medieval and early modern Spanish literature as well as painting, sculpture, and visual culture more broadly. He has served as Associate Director of Durham University’s Institute of Medieval and Early Modern Studies (IMEMS) and as Associate Director of the Centre for Visual Arts and Cultures (CVAC).
